In 2024, Tennis Australia set out to reimagine Garden Square—the original heart of the Australian Open—into a vibrant, must-visit destination where fans could dine, play, and immerse themselves in world-class tennis. Partnering closely with Tennis Australia, we transformed 10,000 square metres of car park nothingness into a dynamic fan zone, complete with custom shade structures, curated food and beverage offerings, intricate design elements, and playful interactive moments.

Following a hugely successful debut, we were invited back to elevate the experience even further. In year two, we brought to life a true tennis oasis—layered with architectural curves, rich textures and hundreds of custom-designed tiles bespoke for AO —creating an iconic setting brimming with visual storytelling and shareable moments. We did it all, leading the precinct strategy, creative direction, design, and production across both years. We hate to boil down all our graft into a mere pun, but our AO partnership really is ace.
