In early 2009, Taboo took charge of launching Chupa Chups’ global mascot – Chuck – to an Australian audience. Supporting the amusing series of TVC’s developed for Chuck’s European campaign, Taboo designed and built a blog centered around Chuck’s Life Less Serious mantra. Gotchucked.com provides people with happy little nothings to help lighten their day – much like a Chupa Chup.
In conjunction with the website, 60 Chuck-dolls where lackadaisically wrapped (read also: they ended up looking like a parcel-bombs… whoops…) and sent to media contacts throughout Australia. These helped to raise awareness about Chuck whilst simultaneously creating consumer desire for the charming little character (people were able to win their very own Chuck-doll by simply sending in a Chupa Chups stick).
